How do you add Netflix to your Tivo? Here’s how:
1. If you don’t have a membership to Netflix, go get one. They usually offer a two week free trial. You can get the one DVD at a time membership, you don’t have to pay for the more expensive ones unless you need them. Take a few minutes now to add some movies to your queue. If you look at the netflix site, you’ll see a tab that says, “Watch Instantly”. Click on that, and then start adding movies. The movies with the blue colored buttons are the ones you can watch on your Tivo.
2. Go back to your t.v. Hit your Tivo button on your remote, then go to the Video on Demand menu item and hit ’select’ on your remote
3. You’ll be in the Broadband Video menu screen. Go to the fourth item, Netflix. Then hit the RIGHT arrow button on your remote and select Netflix Account Information.
4. Since you’ve already got your membership, you just need to hit ’select’ on your remote or the RIGHT arrow button on the “I’m ready to get started” menu item.
5. An activation code will appear. Write it down or keep it on screen.
6. Go back to your internet browser, and type go to http://netflix.com/activate
7. Type in the code you wrote down in step #5 above.
8. Watch your Tivo screen, your Instant Queue will appear. (If you don’t have any movies in your queue, obviously nothing will be there.)
That’s it! Now you can enjoy the 10,000+ movies available on Netflix right on your Tivo!
